On Living with a Cat

As soon as I can afford the extra $80 per month, a new kitty shall live with me. Naturally, this excites me, greatly, for I have missed living with a cat, since Dave's death. When my cat Agnes died, I was concerned I wouldn't be able to give Dave the same degree of love. Dave proved me wrong. There is always room in the human heart for more love. Therefore, I will welcome the new kitty with open arms.

Names for a boy cat:

1. Bill
2. George
3. James

Names for a girl cat:

1. Eunice
2. Edith
3. Maxine

I'll have to see what the cat actually wants to be named, first.

Then I will keep calling out names until the kitty responds. I initially wanted to decorate Dave with the name Stanley. But he didn't like it. So, I tried Mike and Horst. He still didn't like those. But he liked being called Dave.

I was ecstatic when I learned seven people in the building have cats. This includes the manager, who lives with his cat Cher.

If I had the space, I would definitely be the crazy cat lady. I remember the vet telling me she lived with ten cats. She said it's too easy to bring them home. She also said, as with children, every cat needs individual attention.
